Adjudicators’ Awards
There are so many elements that go into making a production work on all levels and to enhancing the overall experience and we take this opportunity to recognise and thank, in a small way, just a few of these valuable contributions.
Shane Ryan Adjudicator Award – Making a flawed character likeable and relatable is crucial when you are the lead in a comedy. Julia Lambert’s dedicated, whole hearted performance succeeded in Bad Jews – Shane’s award goes to Julia Lambert.
Lois Collinder Adjudicator Award – For her impressive debut performance in community theatre as Anna Van Gogh in Vincent in Brixton – Ella Hill-Cotter.
John Shelbourn Adjudicator Award – With all other characters so different Geoff Arnold created a mysterious dapper man who made an air of strangeness work and for his monologue in The Seafarer - Mr Lockhart - Geoff Arnold.
Full details of Cordell Day 2017 will be found in Cues & News due out Friday 15 December 2017.
All that glitters.... stunning gilded display of awards/nominations etc for Vincent in Brixton from the VDL Awards. Congratulations to the glittering VIB company and Gold Award winner Tony Tartaro for his stunning costumes and assembling this display.... and of course the obligatory Cordell Day champagne with this gold backdrop. Bravo!
