Five weeks into shooting ‘Gone With the Wind’, Producer David O. Selznick realises the script is a stinker. He has five days to rewrite, and calls in a new director and a screenwriter. Armed only with copious quantities of brain food (bananas and peanuts), and locked in a room together, they craft the screenplay of what will become one of the finest films ever made.
However, the screenwriter hasn’t read the novel….
